Corrosion control

Proper asset integrity control requires a detailed knowledge of the corrosion threats faced by materials under different environmental conditions. The relevant inspection methods and optimised risk-based inspection schedules can only be selected if the potential form of corrosion and whether it is generalised, localised or in the form of cracking risks are identified. And conditions can change. Materials such as corrosion-resistant alloys may end up in environments that differ from the service conditions for which they were selected.
Intetech is frequently asked to give advice on procedures for optimum installation and corrosion control during hydrotesting and commissioning. We have written special procedures for early operational and out-of-service periods.
